The ranch is
home to a
breeding herd of
paints and
quarter horses,
buffalo and over
1,000 cattle.
The ranch is
completely self
sufficient. It grows and
harvests its own
hay, which is
fed to the
livestock in the
winter months.
The cattle herd
has not set foot
off the ranch
since 1875.
There is a
variety of
wildlife that
live on the
ranch which
include prolific
native species
of deer, wild
elk, black bear,
mountain lions,
bobcats and
rarely seen
lynx, raccoon,
spotted and
stripped skunks,
blond and gray
squirrels, wild
turkeys, golden
eagles, osprey
and peregrine
falcons.
